To this end, the IMF’s multidimensional financial development index is employed, and the Gini coefficient is used as the measure of income inequality. Moreover, trade openness, financial development, GDP per capita and square of GDP per capita are included in the model as control variables. The results obtained from the estimation of the panel data method (fixed-effect model) show that the relationship between inflation and income inequality is positive; in other words, an increase in inflation leads to higher income inequality. Moreover, the results show that improvements in financial development weaken the positive effect of inflation on income inequality. In addition, the results reveal that the impact of financial development on income inequality depends on the level of inflation and the effect of economic growth and trade openness on income inequality is positive. These findings have important policy implications in order to improve financial development to reduce income inequality in developing countries. هدف اصلی این پژوهش بررسی نقش توسعه مالی در ارتباط میان تورم و نابرابری درآمد با استفاده از داده‌های مربوط به دوره زمانی 1995-2020 در کشورهای در حال توسعه است. برای این منظور، از شاخص چندبعدی توسط مالی صندوق بین المللی پول استفاده شده است و ضریب جینی به‌عنوان شاخص‌ نابرابری درآمد به‌کار گرفته شده است. علاوه بر این بازبودن تجارت، توسعه مالی، سرانه تولید ناخالص داخلی و مجذور سرانه تولید ناخالص داخلی به عنوان متغیرهای کنترلی وارد مدل شده‌اند. یافته‌های حاصل از به‌کارگیری تکنیک پانل دیتا (مدل اثرات ثابت) نشان می‌دهد که رابطه میان تورم و نابرابری درآمد به صورت مستقیم است؛ به بیان دیگر، با افزایش تورم، نابرابری درآمد افزایش می‌یابد. همچنین، با توجه به یافته‌ها، بهبود توسعه مالی موجب تضعیف اثر مثبت تورم بر نابرابری درآمد می‌شود. علاوه بر این، نتایج نشان می‌دهد که تأثیر توسعه مالی بر نابرابری درآمد به سطح تورم بستگی دارد و از طرفی اثر رشد اقتصادی و بازبودن تجاری بر نابرابری درآمد مثبت است. یافته‌های این پژوهش دلالت‌های سیاستی مهمی به‌منظور‌‌ بهبود توسعه مالی با هدف کاهش نابرابری درآمد در کشورهای در حال توسعه دارند. https://jnet.ihcs.ac.ir/article_10906_5f7f02b7e4ade23430f345f954c938c1.pdf
